The awesome part is that after compiling all that info, they can top it all off with the email address you use to remove your profile from public access and then sell off your whole profile to another company.

"Yup...this must be pretty accurate because they wanted it removed. Even gave an active email address to do so"

That's kinda what I was thinking too...I have a "junk" email and a business email, and I use a fake name for my junk email...That's the one I always use for BS like this or when I want to "win a contest" or something. It comes in handy when people try to sell your info. HA!

I do the same thing though I don't know how much of a difference it makes. Nobody has my email as a result of the free subscriptions to Sportrider and Motorcyclist, but they do have my name, address, and whatever other information that allows them to find.
