We yell at speeders too.

My neighbor will roll a ball out in the street to get them to notice.

I can understand teenagers speeding but I can't understand people that have small children themselves doing it.

Bad / fast driving seems to be a "cultural" issue in our neighborhood.

Fortunatley speeding isnt an issue where we are, were a ways off from the main roads and in a sort of cul de sac so the only cars comming through are people who live by us, plus our streets ar eprety beat us so speeding wont end well, till they get redone next year

So far we have been lucky with all the kids by us even the ones down the street that are older and have parties seem to keep things low key as to not bother everyone else.

.
right, we have an indian couple who live down the street that are always flying down our street, they have 2 lil kids but they never go outside.

our street feeds off an S curve, so everybody wants to mario andretti down the S and onto our street.

my next door neighbor (corner house) is planning on puttin some BIG rocks so people will think 2x about slaloming onto our street.

they've had tire tracks nearly to the sidewalk.

nowadays, when i'm sitting out there, people take the "longer" route to their house. and i'm fine w/ that.

Not sure Apoc meant that advice for you, but whatever tickles your pickle.

Don't all rants about "kids these days" all sound pretty much alike?

I'm not sure if the neighbourhood has changed, or if people in general have changed. When I first moved in there, when I was 9 years old for those thinking I'm old (I am, but you're only as old as the woman you feel), there was a sense of community. Everyone knew everyone else. Maybe everyone didn't necessarily like everyone else, but you were civil. Now I actually know two other families in the neighbourhood.

The kids causing the most trouble come from 4 units. One of those units seems capable of dispensing children like a clown car.

I'm not sure about the other guys, but I thought you had this same specific problem (soccer balls hitting your patio) several months ago? Maybe you should wire everything on your patio with an electric fence wire. Then invite the bastard fuck trophies over to get their soccer ball. Make sure you put it where they have to touch the wire before they get their ball.

That's what I remember too.

Bratty kids and soccer balls bouncing of back patio/glass etc.

Well the last property manager was fired and he was a gutless wonder. Just spoke to the replacement, yesterday, and he was making all the right noises. It remains to be seen if he really has any balls, about balls.

If I have to be the guy that all the asshats in the neighbourhood hate, then so be it. I'll outlast them. Then I'll likely move out, the day after all of them are gone, just to stick it to the owners who haven't done dick for me in years. They seem hell-bent on turning the place into a slum.

I envision an interesting summer.
