Hmm... wonder if it was a motogp thing when I tried to buy mine online. Or maybe they finally joined us in the current century. I tried to buy tickets in Dec or Jan.

I'm on the EXACT schedule while MY wife is at work in London. Not planning to do the GP but maybe now. I was actually looking into whether Top Gear would be filming while i was over there and seeing if I could get in on a taping. Anything ELSE on the schedule? Renting a car?

Ok- the city is fubared due to the Olympics. Fish and chips suck and traffic blows worse than the DC beltway on a day before a holiday. My first day at the BGP was a washout in every sense of the word. 5 hours of traffic in the biggest rainstorm in Silverstone history. I have pix to go with the story, but I'll save it until I get back. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I need another beer.

I saw the GP was a muck fest
They had overbooked it as well and were asking people not to come (on BBC2 that morning) My experience was total opposite Monday I was in Manchester, walked that city....it was kickass. Pics should be visible HERE Tuesday I did the Isle of man and toured it on the back of a trike...it was kickass. Pics should be HERE Wednesday I toured Dublin Ireland, and did the Guinness brewery thing. Pics should be HERE as well as HERE Then the rest was spent in London. Where we had NO issues with traffic, but then again we bought tickets to the hop on hop off double decker tour buses that run every 10 minutes. Weather (for US anyway) was kickass Did all the touristy things, toured the palace, Big ben, Parliament, the cathedral, did the boat tour and the EYE, as well as the London tower...etc. Crammed a lotta crap into this trip!
