AFAM or Drive Systems... I ended up with Drive Systems (cause of the ratio I went with)... and never had a problem... checked my chain when I was in Ohio... and after 6k they looked great... wished I'd taken more pics of my bike before I left for Korea...

You really should replace the sprockets too. The old ones will chew that chain up prematurely.

The stock sprockets look almost new. No hooking or shortening of the teeth. After I cleaned and lubed the chain last night, it's much smoother and quieter. Still going to replace soon. At the tightest point, it's in spec, but at the loosest it's nearly double. That's checking it where my manual says to (middle of bottom run)- I've heard several other ways that just sound dumb. Like pulling the chain off the rear of the sprocket. Supposedly it's good until you can see half a tooth under the chain.

Trust me... the stock sprockets, especially the rear, are worn.

but yeah, i agree to change sprockets as well. I know I'm going to on comonboys SV next season sometime. |
