I used to love watching the first practice in February with my race club...It was always full of those 2nd week in February, 8 am, newly tuned bike, cold tires, new racer faux pas! One year a guy lost it on pit exit as he whacked the throttle pulling out It was like a laugh track and a hi-lite reel every year...

I've ridden in 45* and I'll say this... never again unless I have heated gear... just not worth it... your too busy being cold to enjoy the ride... and it's hard to stay focused when your freezing.
and 45* on a sport bike is different than 45* on a Touring bike... ( used to hear all the time how people rode in 37* weather no problem on their gold wings) and I don't wanna think about the naked bikes... |

Last weekend, it was rain and snow. Today it hit 72 and tomorrow will be near 80. Pretty much what we have here, you guys back east will have in two days or so.
