Gotta love them

Now think of a society in which you knew just about everyone owned and carried a gun. Would this not make you think twice about doing anything stupid?

That sad bastard that got shot is one less taking up a cell and our tax dollars in an effort to "rehabilitate" or punish. hope he burns in the darkest pits of hell.

damn straight. statistically, London is a more likely place to get mugged than the Bronx. Granny could be walkin home in the bronx and muggers are less inclined to screw with her because they dont know if she's packin a 357 in her handbag or something.

I think the KNOWING that someone is packin tends to help people think more about the consequences of doing something illegal such as mugging that person.
NOBODY wants to try and take grandmas handbag if they think she's packin a gun and could easily put some new holes in you.

Thieves and rapists are generally cowards preying on the weak. Given a world in which just about anyone could kill you for attacking them, there would be fewer thieves and rapists.

I agree crime rate would drastically decrease. And people are still fighting to get guns taken away????

Holy crap, thats ridiculous!! DO they actually try and uphold that in a case like this?

As for this story, terrible, but way to go in making sure it didnt happen again!!
