May have been a rumor, but I've heard former race dogs have lots of medical issues. Hips wearing out being the most common.

Pretty!
My grandparents adopted a retired-racing grayhound, he's such a sweet dog. The only thing was that he wasn't that socialized when they got him, it took him a few months to come out when company was over etc. But they're great dogs! Good choice! |

My saluki/greyhound is the laziest dog ever, but when he spies something he wants... woosh! 0-35 mph in a second. They are called sighthounds for a reason... they see, they go. Remember, they can never be let off lead. They have no traffic sense. Quote:
