that was one of the things that went through my mind actually - I went back after and retraced my line and I think I took the curve more to the inside going in rather than to the outside which made me have to lean more into the turn.
My body position is a little harder to recreate but I was probably more neutral than hanging off

Yes and almost levered myself into a low-side. Hanging off solved that problem.

I find that because I switch the bikes I ride around scraping a peg unintentionally isn’t really that uncommon. It happens to me most on the Gl1800. The Wing is a incredibly nimble machine for its size but the pegs sit low when compared to my Busa and Ducati Thanks to its excellent suspension it is quite possible to find yourself taking a corner at a steeper angle than you thought. The wing makes this no problem though as its weight allows the peg to fold and momentum pulls you through. All you have to do is give a bit more throttle.
My Victory on the other had like many V-Twin heavy cruisers scrapes if you lean much at all so no real surprises. Lately I find myself accidently peg down on the Busa a bit more often, (guess I am getting a bit more daring or a bit more senile this carries some additional challenges as it has a stage 2 turbo set up on it an modulating the throttle is a bit more important as it will tear a tire loose with relative ease so it requires more judgment. I can’t say I have ever unintentionally scraped a peg on the 999 just to precise a chassis.

Yup. I get pretty lazy with body positioning after a long stint in the saddle. Bit one solid mount rearset into a turn at TWS once and ate it hard. It was a raised curbing after about 30 min into a race. Lean the body and feel your way ... i hang my boot toe on the outside of it now to give me a little margin
