Wow, we must really be bored.
I generally scratch myself and wait for my girlfriend to get the temp right. If I'm by myself then I usually turn the water on the faucet (shower/tub combo) and then hardcore-it when I switch from the faucet to the shower.

I'm not hardcore but I did take cold showers while at my dad's house last week. Only because it was 800 million degrees in his house!!!

The other thing to consider is what type of shower fixture you have. If you have a newer style one handle jobber... you don't have to worry about temp changes. If you have the 2 handle (1 hot 1 cold) dilly, then the water can radically change temps.

As usual, Lee's stick figures crack me up...
The hardcore guy is all like, "This Is SHOWAAAAH!!" That said, I chill out nekkid. (words you don't want to visualize, I know) By the time I get to the shower, I've usually already cheated by warming up the water to soak my shaving brush.
