Had a Yosh RS3 on a Bandit 1200 and it wasn't a whole lot louder than stock. It couldn't even be heard over my friend's VTR1000, with twin Hindle "Stealth" carbon slip-ons.

Not really. There's "standard" style or short style for the 600/750. The short styles still have a decent amount of packing, but they normal ditch the catalytic converters.

Short

"Regular"

However people like to shorten their regular length mufflers, they leave out alot of packing thus increasing the sound.

Yea and I totally mis-wrote that line.... I was trying to say that I gave up on D&D on my '01 GSXR and went to Yosh but even that is false because I ran Yosh on my '00 Hayabusa so...Anyway, I gave up on D&D because the noise levels were well beyond tolerable IMHO.

Diff. btw harleys and sportbikes...

A sportbike can sit at a stoplight without being a nuisance. Not so with a harley with pipes.

Good thing I never plan on going to Cali.
The Drummer is... less than quiet.
Granted, I don't think they could ticket you if your tags are from out of state.
