Yes, and I have a new take-away from this thread:

Ed is (gasp) trying to make it sound like he has more money than he really does... on the INTERNET!! I do believe we're witnessing history in the making.

Not only does Racer Retardo pay over $62k in income taxes, he has an "accountant" that does not help plan for the tax year. And makes him pay the 35% tax bracket while only making 70k per year.

To top it off, Racer XL elects not to have a financial advisor to keep tabs on his investments.

With that kind of natural talent handling finances, it's no wonder he's reaching out to (er, demanding) TWF for financial advice.

Ed's situation is the perfect example of a real issue.

Is it unfair or fair that the tax system penalizes those who are ignorant of the tax system?
Is it right or wrong that the tax system rewards certain behaviors and punishes others?

Should the tax system be agnostic of culture\society and just be a fixed % on income?

If this thread has shown anything it has shown that the majority of posters in it do not understand the US tax system.
