Thanks for posting this, best advice I have ever recvd regarding home theater. I turned the "Digital Cinema Surround" feature off on my receiver after reading this and watched "Transformers 2" on Bluray.

I was blown away by the difference in sound processing. I never had to adjust the volume due to it being too loud or too soft and the surround sound was stellar. Seriously, the sound is so improved it's like I got a new processor.

NFL games now sound really good too.

Oh yea! "Natural sound" is way better than goobered up bullshit settings UNLESS you don't have a full surround set-up. That's where they may be of some good imho.

I never knew, I feel like a putts now.

I have 3 main settings for digital surround, Studio Cinema A B and C...and then Normal Surround. Normal surround is by far the best. Damn.
