I need to go visit Austin one of these days. If and when I leave Vegas, I would like to see if Austin would be an option to move to. |

Vegas is a back-up. The talent is a little different. And I have seen some nice neighborhoods in LV when poking around the internet. Hmmmm...... like I said ^...

Move to LA.
You'd be in poontang heaven. Granted that it's slightly more expensive than other states but it's primo stuff. You'd been in riding heaven. You can split lane, you can hit the twisties in Malibu, in Mt. Baldy, in the San Gabriel Mountains, by Lake Elizabeth/Lake Hughes, down in San Diego, North County, Temecula, Idylwild. You'd be in track heaven. California Speedway if you want smooth surface & fast course, old timey style up in Willow Spring or Buttonwillow. New track in Pala down further south. SCUBA diving the Channel Islands is second to none. Oh yeah, and the beach weather is cool and refreshing.

SoCal rocks. I grew up there and love it. Traffic sucks but you'll get used to it. If it was me I'd live closer to the beach like Marina Del Rey and leave Culver City the fuck alone. Stay north of downtown and you should be ok. Huntington Beach is nice but it's too close to Long Beach. If you go east, again, stay to the north of I-10 and preferably close to I-210.

So are you moving here without a job? The economy here sucks...and Hollyweird outsources alot of shit to New Zealand or some offshore place like such. There have been a number of people who moved here in the hopes of "making it big" but are gonna be sadly mistaken cause CA will suck you dry money wise.
