Fixed! I booted up using my Windows CD and got it to start up. It looks likie my OS memory was too low for start up... I totally deleted the crap out of a bunch of stupid programs I had lurking there. It seems okay now but we'll see. Heck, the only reason I found out there was a problem was because we had a brief power outage. I never turn this laptop off

Just in case, take a look in Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Event Viewer and make sure that you don't have any errors in the System or Applications logs.

Turn windows update off and add any security updates manually. All the other crap takes up space FAST
