Any links? Cause I disagree

It does tolerate more advance, which makes more power(usually) but it's energy content isn't higher. And some racing fuels contain oxidizers, which allows you to run richer which makes more power, But I've never seen any references that say it has more energy.

You aren't doing too bad actually, as far as gas savings vs cost of vehicle then. I'm guessing though that the car was already a year or 2 old, and it already had a few miles on it. So while according to the amount paid vs savings you are probably somewhere (by my guesstimation) about breaking even.

The only thing though is that now you are driving a 17k car that is 3 years old with 60k miles on. By that math will you still be driving a reliable car when you are ready to sell it, or when you want to move onto a new one in a few years?

Though 17k is a real good deal for a used hybrid, and that bluetooth in the ear while you negotiate is a great trick, but I prefer to be a dick about it and make the phone call in front of the salesman or manager, so I can watch their reaction when I repeat numbers bellow what is actually given to me.

Never been much of a gas saver-3/4 ton 4X4 Chevy, M/C that turns gas into noise instead of HP and a Corvette. I do have to say that I can get 28-30 MPG at 80 MPH in the vette. In 6th gear the tach hovers at 1400 RPM.

Serious. Can you imagine how many upside down loans are out there-dumping SUVs for a Prius ?

Fuckin ignorance.... damn

come on ebbs... I have explained this like a bizzilion times... can't you find it.

Octane only works for you if your motor is setup for it. octane delays the combustion. If the motor is setup and you are getting pre-ignition knock, then you need a higher octane to delay the combustion.

If not setup to need the octane its a fuckin waste of money.

And "energy content"??? You're kidding right?

And don't even start saying "cleaner gas" either cause if you (anybody) does, you obvoiusly have no fuckin clue.

There is a reason why my screen name is Gas Man... and its not cause I fart allot.
