I've had the LG Dare for about a year now....problem free...great features....I like it...I'm leaning towards the Blackberry Storm at my next upgrade....we'll see.

I love how people get all excited about touch-feedback as a "feature", even though it's a big drain on battery life.

I like the surepress screen, it stops a lot of bad presses with my wide fingers.

I'm in the same boat. I can ungrade with Verizon next week. Or wait until 8/1 when my contract ends and go with an iphone. Not sure what I'm doing yet. Nothing on Verizon's current lineup is extremely impressive.

youd be one of the lucky ones then. Personally if i had one id use bitpim to backup everything regularly. My girl's dumped her entire contacts list once and she only uses it for basic functions

the blackberry does not seem worth it , a) for the service fee and b) its not even the newest Curve, and their is even that newer one (a la trip) coming out for verizon soon. so it would be 2 models old

Honestly, I would hold off as long as you can. Wait til next year if you can when the apple/AT&T contract runs out and you may see a verizon iphone. Let the 9630 come out and see if it is any good. If you spend most of your time in the city though, AT&T is not a bad choice. They suck when you live and work out in the boonies like me. I get 3G almost everywhere I go with verizon.

A handset that combined my favorite features from the glyde and the g1 and ran android on vzw would get my money in a heartbeat. Prob never happen thoughId just like to see more android devices available.

theres another android device from Australia available soon if not now... made by Kogan. I'm honestly too lazy to look it all up to get release dates right now...
And supposedly Sony is planning to have an android phone as well. I personally wasn't impressed with the G1 at all.. the device itself , made by HTC, wasn't that nice. it was designed and made a couple years ago and I think the device itself reflects that. I personally have a Nokia E71 and I LOVE it... but that doesnt help those with VZW |

Oh no trust me I prefer the glyde to the g1. Its just that the g phone has a trackball and a more capable (harder to use) keyboard. Plus that whole wifi thing
