I saw the Nicky version 848 at Laguna and the pictures don't do the bike justice. It is truly a beautiful paint scheme, fitting for an incredible rider. To bad it's on a duc.

And you wonder why they wouldn't let you in the Repsol tent, sporting that Ducati shirt.

Ben Spies is a great WSBK rider and I cheer for him during WSBK races. When he win some shit in MotoGP then I'll cheer for him in MotoGP too.

ding...

I dont even dislike Hayden, so im not even biased. He seems like a good kid. Bit of a redneck, but so am I. But people dont wanna swallow their pride and admit his career has been far less than stellar. Damn near 100 races on the best equipment in the world, and 3 wins with a handful of podiums.

Biaggi was 10x the racer Hayden is (he's old now), with far more wins, and people questioned his talent.

Giberneau won regularly on different equipment, and people question his ability.

bayliss won on a wildcard at the last race of a season, and people bitched about him when he rode for Duc in Motogp.

Pedrobot is apparently a no talent loser, yet his career has been far more successful than nicky's

But haydenpoo can do no wrong. It just puzzles me a little. And Nicky whines as much as any of them!

But Hayden has shown that he's good at rding around at the back of the pack, and you guys grovel at the mention of his name.

Puzzling...

Maybe you aught to get Nicky's balls out of your mouth long enough to take a real look at his career. Every championship Hayden has ever "won" has been behind someone truly great having a terrible season. Do you honestly believe that your boy is a better rider than Rossi? Or Mat Mlladin? Come on! Both times he had unarguably the most dominant bikes and it still required 4-6 dnfs by Rossi/Mlladin for him to win a championship.
Let's not get carried away. Im no Nicky fanboy. I would defend someone like Vermulen in the same manner. He has a WSBK championship and kicked ass over there. Yet hasn't done jack in GP. It doesn't mean he is washed up or talentless or anything. And I also said never said none of you could have an opinion. Only that I did not agree with it. And won't. There is another thread similar to this is regards to Stoner on another forum. People complaining about his lack of interest in fans and dead pan personality. Here is what a WMRC and OMRRA multi time #1 plate holder had to say about it.....

Some guys (ie Rossi) are better with the fans than others, but respect them for what they're trying to really do: wring one more tenth per lap out of those bikes at speeds we can't imagine.

Maybe Stoner's sick. Maybe he isn't. Whatever it is, I hope he gets over it. I'm not going to dislike him cause he doesn't smile and wave like he's some kind of puppet.

It's what these guys do on the track that I'll judge them by. If they're a dick on the track I won't like them. That's what matters to these guys, and should be what matters to us.

Here's one for you to think about:

Spies is from America, he's kicking ass in WSB, and we all love him for it. Ever notice how he shows no emotion and never smiles in the post-race conference? You think the rest of the motorcycle racing world is going to love him for long? Is that right? Do you think that's unfair? Should he be judged by his on-track activities?
As someone who races I just have a different perspective. You guys can love him or hate him. I don't give a shit. But to show a total lack of respect for a guy and justifying your opinion based on statistics is still missing the point. And I will give another comparison. If any of you follow motocross/supercross Chad Reed is a good example. His Supercross championships came with RC and/or Bubba misssing. So people dog him. I don't like him AT ALL. But he deserves those titles IMO because he was the best of who was out there. And while maybe those guys aren't in the same league as Bubba or RC they are still stupid fucken fast and Chad had to beat them.

So because Nicky is fan friendly he deserves a replica edition? I don't give a shit what he does off the track. On the track he isn't that good compared to the rest of the field. When he start performing as well as Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Stoner, Rossi, or even Divizioso, then I'll buy the idea of a replica. It is Duc's chance to cash in on his fame though.

Maybe they're just trying to get more Americans to buy Ducati and thought this would appeal to us ?

His first year on the bike and he's not doing so great so it does suprise me that they would be doing a replica in his name.
