I've taken off in two planes, and landed in one. I don't mind the flying, except for the sitting next to strangers part. Travel is expensive though.

8 hours or less I'm usually driving if it's me visiting somewhere. Over 8 i'm flying Bu most of the time I'm on a bus. I'm flying Wed for vacation for about 10 days. But really dislike driving would much rather be on my bus. Flying sucks to I have bad luck. They either cancel my flights or I get delayed so long I have to have a friend come get me.

I always go window seat on short flights and isle on the longer flights so I can get up and wonder if I am bored.

I like early morning flights if its a long flight. Stay up all night and party it away then sleep like a baby through the flight.

I love flying, I just hate being stuck in a seat with some random person next to me. Rarely can they be fun to talk to so I just make sure I am tired enough to wake up at my destination.

It'd be fun to learn to fly. Isn't it expensive as shit to get your license though?

the cost of the plane time is most of the cost. If you can find a plane to practice in that you only have to pay fuel, it's much cheaper.

What little I've flown, I've mostly enjoyed, at least as long as its daylight and I have a window. Flying at night in a liner is not fun for me, its just like riding in a super sized old gray dog.

I've flown in small pvt planes 3 or 4 times and really enjoyed that. Although I did catch myself banging my knee against the door when we banked over into a turn, habit.

Even a flight in an old KC119 flight was fun and you didn't have to worry or wonder about odd noises since you couldn't distinguish anything in particular. Sort of like being inside an empty paint can with nuts, bolts and screws, then turn on the paint shaker.

For 6 years of my life I flew every Monday to work and every Friday home. Anything over 3-4 hours is too long to drive for me. Why drive and deal with hassles when you can be sitting in a seat with a drink in your hand getting there with no responsibility.

I have never flown until Lori and I took a trip to Florida in 08 right before xmas.

For 26.5years I never even left the state. Except 1 quick trip to the dumphole I call the lousiana border.

Never had a reason to, but always wanted to. Lori has pushed me into doing new things.

I'll tell you what is rockstar though. First class! I flew first class from Dallas to Honolulu, and from here on out, when I fly where the flight is longer than a couple of hours, it will have to be first class. SO worth the money. LOL
Private planes are one step above that. One of my vendors took us out to Illinois for a full tour of their plant and we were still back in under 12hrs.

I asked my boss what we rent our company plane out for and he says it is something like 10K an HOUR. Damn.
