We shouldn't torture. We should just ask nicely for information. I mean positive influence is 1.5 times better than negative!!!

You'd have to have read comics as a kid or, you know, not have lived under a rock for the past couple of years to have heard about that one.

All the movie previews I see are ones that I click on the internet........I don't watch TV, so I don't get forced to watch previews that I didn't ask to see. So, there could be a million girlie flicks, Harry Potter flicks, Sex & the City remakes, or Zac Efner flicks, and I would never know about them because I wouldn't have been interested enough to click on them. |

Torture doesn't work. Interrogators spend months and years learning how to get their subject to spill their guts. It is precisely by gaining their confidence and getting them to trust you that the biggest pay-offs come. Those who talk the toughest about torture like Glen Beck and the comedian Rush Limbaugh haven't the nerve to spend one minute in a truly hazardous situation, but they don't mind letting others take the chances they won't or can't. Thousands were tortured in the Spanish Inquisition, with tortures that aren't imaginable today, and the victims always swore on the Bible that they were in league with the Devil, had sex with same, were witches, or werewolves, etc. Were these confessions true..? Were the false confessions forced out of American POWs in Korea and Vietnam true..? Only a sadist wants to torture someone, and it's not to keep anyone safe. Sadists want to torture people simply because they get a depraved enjoyment in inflicting pain and watching others suffer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Spirit Unfortunately the guy who did so well with Sin City and 300 (I'm hoping that you at least heard of THOSE) got his solo shot on The Spirit and fucked it up royally, despite saying in an interview when asked why he was doing it himself answered, "Because I won't fuck it up."
