If you've shot both how did .454 compare to a .44 mag? |

I will be getting a wheel gun though, and it probably will be a .357. But I wanted a DE since I was a child. It's one of those novelty guns that you rarely shoot, but pray somebody breaks into your house so you can see what it really does.

I can't answer for him but my experience is if you are shooting full house 454 you want it is a single action frame with a grip designed to roll in your hand. I routinely carry either a S&W Governor or a Performance center Model 29 S&W, even loaded hot neither of them compare to the push back on a loaded 454. I have nothing bad to say about Taurus products but it would be a cold day in Hell before I would light up a full 454 round in a gun with that grip angle or that sticky a grip. I have used my buddies Freedom arms pistol few times for different reasons that is a beast,

I already have a varmint style RRA. If I were to venture into this particular avenue, it would be to build a heavy duty brush gun for putting serious *whump* on angry hogs. Though, to be honest, I could just buy a Marlin 'Guide Gun' and do the same thing (albeit, not semi-auto or detachable mag) for less money.

ONSSP surprised me yesterday with a Mossberg 500! Been wanting a shotgun for a while and she got a pretty good black Friday deal... Stoked!
