It's easy to check if a motor mount is broken. Locate the mounts, have somebody behind the wheel start it, put it in gear, hold the brake down hard and press the gas. Not enough to do a burnout, but just enough for the engine to move. Monitor the mounts and see if it moves too much. The tranny flush, if not done another time, is due. Wouldn't worry about the bushing just yet. Check it to see how cracked it really is.

why not do that with the car in neutral? any reason it should be in gear?

cause in neutral there wouldnt be any force on the engine mount.

there would be... but not much... just rev'n the motor will cause it to twist a bit...

Hey do we have a rally thread floatin around? cause i need to start making plans. I've got the money saved for it and need to make sure i have a way down there, im not sure if i'll be able to trailer w/ DP if he's gonna already be in Tennessee.

but i still need to figure out lodging and what not... i have no idea whats going on at this point.
