Thumbs up MotoGP round 8 Sachsenring 07/18/10 *SPOILER THREAD*

Well, this one will be watched by many

--ROSSI WILL RACE!!!!
--For the 1st time in a while, Lorenzo was actually challenged last race...Was that a fluke?
--Dovi raced his arse off last race, right until he crashed ...Can he repeat that performance?
--Pedro ran wide last race, and still finished 2nd...Can he ever put together consistent racing?
--Stoner has looked really good lately, but is headed to Honda...
--Spies did some complaining to his employers...Will it pay off
--Hayden has gone backwards the last few weeks

Your thoughts?

Hayden likes these anti clockwise circuits and Pedrosa owns the lap record. I pick Pedrosa, Stoner, Hayden and Jorge will prolly spoil it for me...

I'm watching QP now...

Pedrosa 1:22.327
Stoner
Lorenzo

45 minutes remaining though....much cloudier today....air and track temperature both way down from yesterday. I really expect that the top riders will get in to the 1:21's by the time it's done and dusted.

Colin Edwards is sucking hind tit....absolutely dead last...and STILL whining for more parts from Yamaha. Strange, that....given that Spies is flogging the piss out of that bike often on tracks he's never even ridden before. I wouldn't be surprised if Colin's shelf life in MotoGP expires at the end of this season.

They put a gyroscopic camera onboard the rear of Rossi's bike....the camera stays level with the horizon so you can REALLY get a feel for the insane amount of lean angle he gets...and for how quickly he forces that bike to change direction. It is AMAZING to watch.

Oh shit....Lorenzo's bike just caught on fire...WTF is THAT all about?! That bike was puking HUGE amounts of oil. Oh no...they red flagged the session....Spies and DePuniet both crashed hard at turn one on oil out of Lorenzo's bikes. DePuniet looks hurt after hitting Spie's bike. :/ He CRUSHED his ankle off the handlebars of Spie's bike...and is out for the rest of the session today. Off to Clinica Mobile for x-rays, I would guess.

Session underway again....interesting to see how Lorenzo will do on his #2 bike.

X-Rays negative for DePuniet...he's in pain but nothing is broken.

10 minutes to go...

Pedrosa 1:21.948
Stoner
Lorenzo
Rossi

Final:

Lorenzo 1:21.817
Stoner
Pedrosa
Dovi
Rossi
Barbera
DePuniet
Simoncelli
Espargaro
Melandri
Kallio
Edwards
Spies
Capirossi
Hayden
Bautista
De Angelis
