Thumbs up 2009 WSBK pre-season smack talk thread..

1 week to go before the start of the WSBK season...Let's get it on

This season should be one of the best ever....
--Bayliss retired, so the field is wide open
--Spies is riding a Yami
--Max Biaggi and Shinya Nakano will be on Aprilia's
--Troy Corser and Ruben Xaus will be on BMW's
--Nori Haga and Michel Fabrizio will be on Duc's
--Carlos Checa is still riding the Honda at age 36
--New faces Byrne and Sykes will make things interesting

So who's your early pick to win it all???

Being a huge Honda guy, I'm not liking it, but Haga on the Duc seems to be a good match...Your thoughts?

i'd love for spies to win. The Duc is proven, Haga is gonna be bezerker this year.

I love watching Haga run, and with the displacement advantage Ducati gets, things look really good for him this year.

Maybe, but it'll still suck below 10K.

Haga deserves a championship and this is probably his best chance. I hope to see Spies do well so he can work his way up to MotoGP

Haga has experience and the team. The team usually wins championships.
Spies has the bike and the drive no doubt.
Biaggi and Checa have alot of experience, Checa having the better ride with a years R&D already done.
Fabrizio is trying to prove himself worthy. He's not.
Corser and Xaus will have moments of brilliance but will have their hands full developing that BMW.
My big ? is can Neukirchner and Kagayama bring back the GSXR squad??

I predict carnage, excitement, and entertainment!

Would love to see Spies take it but not likely since it's his first year in this series and a new bike. Def will be pulling for him though.
I'm guessing Haga but you never know. Just want an action packed season with lots of yelling at the TV!

I wish Haga would win, but he hasn't been worth much of a shit since almost winning on the R7. He's a great rider to watch, especially when he's on, but Haga is consistantly beaten by Haga. Still, I root for him every year.

Wtf you forgot max noycuchnier (sp?). He was fifth last year... Second at one point. I like him... But don't know about him winning it all. The yami is rumored to be kick ass... Gonna be a good season for sure!
