Bike Prices....
I am still looking for a bike and ran across this one today. Why is it that people think they can get 2/3's of original retail for a 7+ year old bike?
http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/mcy/1195164968.html Here is my reply to her: Stephanie, Um, you're kidding, right? I'll give you $3200. If it had only 500 orig. miles on it, maybe some more but not with 18K on the clock and being 7+ years old. NADA has it between $3-4K not deducting for anything like mileage or overall condition..... Not trying to be a dick or anything.....its just in THIS economy, nothing is going for high retail. Dealers are practically giving away their inventory for new bikes and they come with warranties for not too much more. If not interested then G/L with your sale. Bill 954-975-BIKE |

LOL tell me about it... I'm car shopping and dealers aren't willing to budge on their prices.
I'm like... KBB/NADA/Edmunds values are 4 to 5k lower than what their asking. I realize there are special consignment situations where the dealer HAS to charge a retarded price, but after visiting 4 or 5 "dealers", I'm on the verge of giving up till I have the money to put down on the whole schpeil. |

Thanks Josh, nice bike. Good Luck with your sale, you've priced it right and it should not last. I am a died in the wool GSXR fan so that is what I really want....although the '08 675 Daytona I rode up at the gap has me rethinking those loyaties.

I agree, these prices are ridiculous.
Ive seen late 90s/early 00 bikes, in the several thousand $ range, with a bunch of miles. fuck that. ill keep saving. |
