How old was your daughter when you first got her on the bike? I know my little girl is still a bit young to take her for rides, as she gets scared just sitting with me on the bike in the garage when I stand it up off the kickstand.

The older side of 4 years. I started by turning the bike on, putting it in N and pushing it across a parking lot making vroom vroom sounds. Over the next 2 years I slowly worked her up to riding across the parking lot at walking speed. She didn't get her first real ride until she was 7 when we went to get ice cream 5 miles from the house. From there she took off and can pretty much stay on as long as she wants. She just puts in some ear buds, plugs into an ipod and bee bops away.

I'm working with my son now, he's 5 going on 6, but with his attention span I still have him sitting in front of me pinned between my legs and the gas tank. He moves 100 feet at a time and AI have to keep reminding him to sit still and pay attention.

Really just put her in some gear, on the bike, and see what she can do. Start slow and work your way up.

I'm sure my daughter can easily do longer rides than we did today, but with walking around in the heat all day she was getting tired by the time we got home.

Ok, when are you gonna come down for it? Next year? Did you want to show up at 5am with the first folks that arrived and waited till noon to ride, or did you want to show up at 3 in the afternoon and pretty much just jump on the back end and go from there?

I mean it was a cool experience, I'm glad I did it, but I better have a damn good reason to do it again.

Sooooo, how many patches do you got?

Pins?

I know you have the leather vest, you have to have patches or pins

I do have pins on my vest... it's a cruiser thing... many of my hd riders would ask you silly questions too.
