In other words, expect the worst.

Just put it in your carry-on and wear a baggy sweatshirt.

She's a flight attendant on her way to a plane to WORK.

You think she didn't have an ID badge that identifies who she is?

This is just like what my husband deals with. He has a TWIC with an RFID chip in it. He is captain of a ship that can go in and out of most any port in the world - that chip has his authorization to bypass any little flippin security the TSA has at an airport because it is a TSA issued card. Do you think the TSA agents even know what it is? Do you think they have a scanner to look at the card to see if it is legit? I'm quite sure that scanner would cost less than these scatter machines...

I wouldn't have anywhere near concern if they actually EVER foiled a plot or actually caught someone with intent to explode. They have only ever put these measures into place because someone got through with a new clever way to transport.

I travel a LOT for work. I'm not looking forward to it.

It's complete BS.

People need to stand up and object to this level of BS. The govt is suppose to protect our freedoms not suppress them.

Anyone can get a TWIC card who has buisness working at a port. I have to get one for San Diego, but have been too lazy to get the clearance (plus the 137 bucks they want).

If I had to enter the refinery for my work, which my current job doesn't require, I would have to have a TWIK card. My neighbor who's a crane operator has a TWIK card for entry into the same marathon refinery and maybe (as in I'm not sure he needs it) to enter Cavemans nuclear plant as well.

Right, and the chip allows for different levels of access.

No reader for their own goddamn card and chip?

Lame.
