My great uncle recently got the $500 Dynex 40" Best Buy always seems to have. I can't speak to its longevity but it has a really good picture for the price.

Good luck with the fix. Hopefully you can take care of it for the price of a few capacitors.

I remember reading a forum and a guy replaced the whole circuit which was cheap.

I've got a Dynex in the bedroom, great picture and sound for the price tag.

Dynex have a terrible picture. I can't think of one good thing to say about that tv.

I want a Panasonic G25. I hope to be able to get it next month for the bedroom. If everything works out. If it all works out I will wall mount it and put a blu ray and sat receiver in the closet and then get a Harmony remote so I can still control them.

Kmart special. LOL

Dynex tv's has some thick matte screens. Very dull picture quality.
