My 79 has stock pinstripes from the factory. I think it helps tie in the tank and rear. I put blue, solid-copper sparkplug wires on to match the pinstripes. Unfortunately, the camo duct tape on the seat doesn't match anything.

The stripes are all on the top parts, so you cannot even see them unless you walk up to the bike. They don't look bad at all IMO, but I don't like extra shit on the bike.

i'm not a huge fan of striping although when we pick up the Iron I will probably get some striping put on it for the better half. She had some work done in Tenn on a Vulcan she had and it looked pretty good. Won a couple shows with it.
