My daughter wants to get chickens now that we have 10 acres. I told her my rule is nothing with heartbeats. I have enough problems with the critters that live here, I don't need more creatures that will attract other critters.

Congratulations on the loss of heartbeat.

Not to mention the fact that chickens are birds, and we know your track record with birds.

honestly it would be a great thing for her to learn resp with and the eggs are awesome. not at all like what you get in a store.

chickens are pretty hardy and need very little care depending on how much you want to put into them. I know people who just have them running around and psychos like my girl who have temp controlled coop, fencing for unattended running and free range when we are there to ensure no critters get 'em.

BTW 10 acres? you got critters you don't even know about out there. LOL

I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to teach my daughter responsibility without chickens anywhere near me or on my property.

Critters list is growing. Hogs are the big problem. Neighbors want to start a de-hog party. I'm all for it.

If you don't have dogs that can hunt pigs, get some or get fucking rocket launchers/sniper rifles. Pigs can be evil sons a bitches if you have never hunted them. That's if Texas boar can get as big and as fucking evil as the ones in Tennessee.

Yeah, so far from the looks of it they aren't that large. They did a neighborhood clearing of them a few years ago.

I will say, I like my new "neighborhood" so far. These boys don't fuck around. We're talking night vision and all that jazz. I'm waiting for someone to bring a helicopter to the fight.

Things like this didn't present a problem for an officer. Officers had a tried and
tested way of solving problems like this. It was called a sergeant.
