I ran one a long time ago in my Saleen Mustang - TON of fun!
I'd consider doing them occasionally in my 300ZXtt, once I 'freshen up' the motor/turbos. But I don't want to thrash the shit out of it too badly - and if you run hard, you WILL abuse the hell outta your car. I think doing them on a regular basis would pretty much require a dedicated toy. |

It really only abuses the brakes and the tires.
Clutch.....Not so much. You don't shift as often as you think you might. |

the only thing im worried about is the start, i dont want to fuck up the 5 speed transmission, its my weak point, the car was built and setup for autocross

The start at a Solo II is usually built around a turn, so it's not going to be like an all-out launch.

Auto-Xed for years. It's pointless--you can get a real trackday with 30x as much track time for ~twice the price. And you don't have to stand out in a field picking up cones for half the day.
