Yeah, right.

Your not treated like a shoplifter. They do a quick scan of your receipt and your on your way.

Employee's have to have their lunch bags checked when they leave.

I don't know what your time is worth, but the first and last time I waited around in line so I could be "checked for stealing" (which is what it amounts to) it took 20 minutes.

Fuck that. I bought it, it's mine, piss-off. I'm not a goddamn 12 year old, I can check my own receipt to make sure I wasn't overcharged.

Sucks to be them. I don't work there.

Walmart will stop you if your stuff isn't in a bag.

The line up to get out sucks but its not that bad. They have found items that people were charged twice for because of that line. My sister would find all kinds of things that were not paid for and send people back.

Maybe in your area, but not around here. They have greeters, but those people stand pretty far away from the door, so they can't double-duty as receipt-checkers.

Either regional or store-by-store... the Walmart by us checks people "at random" (somehow i always get stopped).

i've never waited more than a minute or two at Costco because of the receipt-checking... just pissed me off the first couple times i went there because i'd put my receipt away and had to dig it back out.

So they don't trust their cashiers to ring up items correctly?

We have a membership to BJ's and have saved money and have never been hurt in there.

I bought my garage flooring at Sam's and saved a bunch compared to ANYWHERE I could find it online...close to half price.

I buy my contact lense at BJ's optical center and get better prices by doing that. Walmart's optical center is close on price.
