Maybe it's my moderate nature, but I really don't have the strong desire to tear this one down.
It's just another stop along the road to a product which will eventually be both viable and affordable (to the less-than-six-figure earners).

I wouldn't spend $45K on an 1198R, let alone an electric bike from a manufacturer that could be out of business tomorrow.

Not suggesting you should, just saying that what's rare, impractical, and expensive today may be affordable and worthwhile to the average motorcyclist in the future... if the technology is allowed time and the necessary interest to develop.
