You already have a bandwidth cap with comcast, they just don't tell you. I hit it in under a week into the month, my first month with comcast. I called them up to ask why my internet wasn't working after a day and a half of it being down and they said I downloaded too much. They don't advertise it, but they already restrict heavy downloading.

Wow, interesting. What is the cap, roughly? 10's of gigs?

Did/can they allow you to get more bandwidth?

Is it in the fine print somewhere? That's bullshit.

It's in the fine print, I think it's somewhere in the 6-8 gig terroritory. You can pay for the business package.

Comcast is a complete ripoff. You all are taking a serious cock in the ass.

There aren't easy alternatives. Cable companies monopolize areas/neighborhoods around here, and in most cities from what I understand.

Hell I've lived in buildings where RCN owned all of the cables so you either got that, or you were fucked.

Yea I had Dtv but I live in an apt now so....cable or nothing...luckily cable is free. I have to say that I've recently had ATT DSL,before that I had cable internet and now I'm back to cable and cable seems superior IMHO. Ofcourse, now I have N style wireless so that could be why I think it's alot better.
