So now he wants to punish everybody for the abuses of a few by turning everyone who is unfortunate enough to be unemployed into slave labor for the state?

Sorry thats some Soviet era Communist bullshit right there.
This but its not "taxes" your employer pays a premium to the unemployment commissionfor every worker he employs. BTW for those that wish to punish the employer, the premium is based on your past record of lay offs. Excessive lay offs=higher premiums=punishment.

I know you said under supervision but you want disgruntled laid off workers watching your kids......really?

BTW driving a bus actually requires training, licences, etc. Besides, last I looked, the public schools aren't looking for a million bus drivers.

Besides, let's say you were a secretary and they could find you a cs position in an office. Ever work with a temp? How about one that's getting paid less than half their normal salary ? How about one that's being forced to work there by the state? Oh yea she'd be a peach...

There ya go, let's get the unemployed together and force them to build stuff like roads, dams, bridges...wait don't we have people doing these jobs already? What exactly happens to them? I didn't notice the construction companies placing ads for a million workers...

Yep I'd love to be on a construction site with bunch of nimrods that don't know what they are doing and that don't want to be there... No possibility of accidents there....

State Farm is private entity that charges a premium for its service.
You do not have to subscribe to that service.

Uncle Sam forces employers to pay into a government run service. I'm going to go out and say that is the definition of a tax.

You don't want to waste time on definitions....
Little silly to be arguing over the definition of a tax and the definition of a premium.
