You could do a mix of .410 & .45 for a surprise attack.

After pricing ammo I will probably burn alot of Russian 45 acp is full moon clips but for night stand duty 410 buck shot and PDX1 is most likely its fodder. I swapped a 22lr AR pistol and and an old ar barrel for it so we will see how it goes. Now to find a IWB holster and move the velcro strips in the tanks bag.

The S&W version uses 45 ACP instead of 45 LC?

Like the Model 1917, and the S&W model 25 it uses either full moon clips or 3rd moon clips so you can fire the cheaper 45 auto as well as the 45 GAP and the 45 lc

Ah, ok. I'd seen those but didn't realize that's how it worked.

So I went on a buying spree this weekend; got a 5.45 M&P upper (since all surplus 5.45 is corrosive I'm going to wait for my New Frontier polymer lowers to come in before shooting it, no way I'm putting any of that stuff through my KAC lower) 4,000 rounds of 5.45, M&P Shield (I think I'm really going to like this gun), and an M&P 15-22 though not the Magpul edition I wanted to get.
