It didn't work. He wrote back, albeit an hour later, that he's not a player but its good that I'm mean to them and how he really wants to talk to me blah blah f'n blah! If he wasn't my daughter's boyfriend's brother and just some random guy I met he'd pretty much hate me really soon. Maybe I should buy him a bottle of lotion and a box of tissue for Christmas?

don't insult his ego, that will just make him want it more. tell him you're just not into anyone in general right now and to move on.
