I've never tried heated gear. I did try heated grips on a bike and even a snowmobile when I was at Snowshoe and they were nice.

Grips are great.....if you have wind protection for your hands...otherwise the outside of your hands are frozen while the insides are hot.
If your'e on a bike where you hands get a lot of wind heated gloves are the way to go. On the motard the gloves are the ![]()

The only other part of me that ever gets cold is the tops of my thighs. I may get the heated socks and simply place them in that position. If I do that I'll get the dial controller. The motard doesn't put out enough amps to really get the gloves TOO hot, but the BMW will melt your fingers. Most sportbikes should be a good balance between the two (I imagine) The great thing about gerbings is you can go in cheap initially (JUST gloves) and you can add components as you can afford (or want) them
