There are some new tech light weight batteries out there but they don't come cheap. If your stock battery lasted 10 years I would stick with that. Also search by the battery model number to get a better deal. The Yuasa for my bike was like $160 retail and still over $100 at dealer cost. The same model but from another manufacturer was about $50 shipped.

If the bike is going to be rigged up to use a lot of juice, then you might consider an Odyssey battery.

i will add tho, it lasted ten years with stock electronics. i only recently added the hid's n stuff.
