My cat ran today, so I'm off the hook.

I love triathlons. I did 4 this year and will start next year with a olympic distance from the sprints. Jekyll Island turtle crawl. It's a perfect beginner oly tri.

Another fun race is the Muddy Buddy. They travel around and it is the absolute most fun race I have ever done. You work in teams and switch off between mtn biking and running. In the end you go splashing through a huge mud pit. Plus nothing like watching hot girls (or guys for others) splashing through mud and then hosing off togehter. Here are pictures form it...

The Peachtree Road Race has 55,000 runners and is a 10k. It was the largest in the world until a few years agao. It's a huge giant party really (well once the Kenyans win it and are out of the way). I was given 3 beers along the route and people just gather around and party. I got sprayed with holy water!

Congrats. In 1992, I traveled to New York and ran the NYC Marathon. That was a fun run going over bridges, through ethnic neighborhoods, and getting high-fives from all the viewers. I miss running, but my knees and hips are screwed up.

I need to get back up to that type of distance, but it's hard when you hate running.

Goal: to complete the perimiter run around Camp Bondsteel without dieing before we leave. 7 miles of pure hellish hills.

Would've loved to run with you, but I'm still on a profile for a couple of days, no running farther than 100 yds.

Thanks! I will definitely check these out. I am hoping to race outside of OH at some point. Might be doing a tri series next year along with my running series. I'm not even to the sprint distance yet, hope to do one of those next fall. I need to get in the pool more, that is my weakness but see the most/best results.

I like hills. I do better when the course has hills versus flat. My best time is on a cross country course and some of my worst are on pure flat, go figure.

I do too... I can't stand the flat boring stuff... err... couldn't... I'm not in the same shape I was when I ran in HS... I still love to run hills... just don't have the stamina to run them all day like I used to.

course I just started running again after a 3 year break (other than the occasional 1.5 mile run to keep up for my pt test) so who knows... cept there are no real hills on the gulf coast... just bridges

I got a couple miles in pushing Megatron, wife hit 6.5 on her long run. Personally, anything longer then 5, I'm pedaling my bike, I wouldn't be able to walk for the rest of the week.

My girlfriend jogged/walked a 5k on Saturday for a CASA benefit event.
That's enough for both of us.
