Default Vintage Bike Night

There was a Vintage Bike Night today. Actually, it was in the late afternoon. Maybe because vintage bike owners have to be home before dark or vintage bikes have dim lights. Anyway, here's a 78 Yamaha SR500 Single. My 79 GS1000 (with camo duct taped seat) is right behind it.

Here's a nice Norton Commando 850. I forgot to ask the owner what year it was.

Here's a 78 Yamaha XS1100. With the Kerker exhaust, it sounded real sweet. I drag raced one on the street back in 79. He jumped into the lead and I just couldn't catch him even though I was 30 pounds lighter then.

I thought this was a Honda Dream, but the owner told me it was a modified Scrambler.

Here's a modified Kawi KZ400.

The KZ400 owner crafted an R6 shock to the rear, after welding a brace to the swingarm. He also built the cone mufflers with fiberglass-wrapped core.

Shot the breeze with a bunch of old and young riders. I was amazed how many young people like to modify old bikes. We agreed to meet in April when it is warmer. Then it got dark and I had to go home.
